Freshwater Aquarium Care

Weekly water changes made simple.

Regular water changes remove waste, refresh minerals, and keep your aquarium more stable for fish and plants.

Weekly Routine

Clean water without disrupting your tank.

Always adjust the routine for your aquarium size, stocking level, and test results.

1. Test First

Check ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and temperature. Water changes solve many problems, but testing tells you why they are needed.

2. Remove Old Water

Use a gravel vacuum to remove debris from a portion of the substrate. Avoid tearing apart the entire aquarium at once.

3. Add Treated Water

Use water conditioner, match temperature as closely as practical, and refill slowly so fish and plants are not stressed.

Good habit: Do not replace all filter media or deep-clean the filter at the same time as a major water change. Preserve the beneficial bacteria your aquarium needs.
