Quarantine length and treatment choices depend on the fish and any symptoms you see.

Use a simple, cycled tank or established sponge filter, heater, cover, and easy-to-clean hiding place. Keep equipment separate from the display tank.

Look for normal eating, breathing, swimming, waste, spots, clamped fins, or signs of stress. Test the quarantine water just like a display tank.

Do not mix medications or treat blindly. Identify the concern, follow the product label, and ask Gigi before moving fish into the main aquarium.

Important: Nets, buckets, and siphons can move problems from tank to tank. Keep quarantine tools separate and dry them fully between uses.
